this memorial day weekend we took van out to mom and dad's lake house on the one and only day it was sunny and warm. it was van's first time in the lake and he seemed to enjoy it. he has a life jacket but it's a little too big for him at the moment. it came up too far on his cheeks and it looked like it was bothering him but he floated for a little bit with daddy and was very talkative. we can't wait to get him back in the water!

we have a nice relaxing family vaca on bald head for a week with the utseys starting on sunday. we are all excited about being back on bhi and putting in some beach time. while we are there van will celebrate his half birthday!! our little peanut is growing so fast. yesterday - the tooth i thought he cut on mother's day came back and you can really feel the sharp edge coming through his gums. i hope the tooth pops out in the next week so i stop sounding tooth crazy!
