We were in Blowing Rock, NC last weekend for the wedding of our close friends Ellen and Scott. It was an amazing weekend with wonderful weather (20 degrees cooler than Charlotte - ahhhhh) and fun times with fabulous friends.

while we were away in the mountains, van stayed home in charlotte with nana & papa luke. it was cole's first birthday and he had a surf's up birthday party at my parents house. we were so sad to miss the first birthday celebration of our sweet nephew and godson cole but van was happy to represent the family!
happy birthday cole - you are such a blessing to our family. it has been a real treat to watch you grow and change this year. you and van are so close and we look forward to many more memories made and cherished. we love you little man! may you have your cake & eat it too!
