Bald Head Island 8th annual Fourth of July with The Kinlaws

Fourth of July is one of my favorite holidays. It pretty much ties for first place with Thanksgiving since like Thanksgiving we get to spend quality time with people we love, eating fabulous food and laughing until our faces hurt. The bonus to the Fourth is that we get to spend the week at our favorite place to escape to - Bald Head Island.

This year was very different from years past since both Haley & I are pregnant and "our situation" as Grey liked to call it eliminated two wino drinkers from the trip. Now Hales and I tried to make up for it with our "mocktails" but it just wasn't the same. Well worth it though.

Thankfully the weather wasn't too hot and we got to spend a lot of time at the pool and the beach. We were told to take it easy and drink lots of water by our doctors so the Husbands had a lot more work on their plate this year. 

They did enjoy two rounds of golf at Bald Head Island Club and Haley and I took our annual trip to the Island Spa for prenatal massages.

Van was never wanting for attention or love and I think this summer has been his best yet.  It has been one long vacation.

Another fun week celebrating the Fourth with our faves. We cherish our week with the Kinlaw family and are so thankful we get invited back every year. We feel like part of the family and really look forward to this trip all year long. Thank you Haley & Grey for being such great friends. There aren't many people you can spend a week at the beach with and leave better friends than before you went! We love you guys and can't wait until next year!
