when van was born, a dear friend sent a gift basket filled with all sorts of baby boy goodies. inside that love-filled basket was this blankets & beyond baby baby security blanket:
after van turned one, he became really attached to this super soft blankie. he hugs it close to him and plays with the tag when he's sleepy or goes to get it and his milk when he's ready for a nap.
this morning he brought it into our bed with him and it did not smell so fresh. so i tried to distract him while tossing it into the washing machine but that little squirt fished it out as he was helping me put his dirty clothes into the wash!!
i tried to explain that blankie needed a bath but van was not having it. he pretty much had a meltdown for 30 minutes which led me to go online and find a 2nd blankie to prevent this from happening again!
of course as soon i got the blanket out of the dryer and gave it to van (smelling like dreft) he tosses it onto the floor to play with my pots and pans!!
