Today Van had his two month check-up with Dr. Swetenburg. He passed all his tests with flying colors and the Dr. said he looked perfect! He is right on track and healthy. He now weighs 14 pounds 3 ounces and measures 24 inches so he is still in the 90th percentile!
Van spends much more time awake during the day so we have a lot of time to play. He is such a happy little boy, always smiling and cooing! We are consumed with so much love for him.
After our visit to the doctor, we started a bedtime ritual to help Van know when it is nighttime and his cue to go to sleep. We start by giving him a nice warm bath then we go into his room and say his prayers while he gets a baby massage with bedtime lotion. After that we get him dressed in his pj's, feed him, read him a book and cuddle for a little while. We've only done this for two nights so far but I think it has helped him already! He still only wakes up once in the night, usually between 1 and 4 depending on what time he fell asleep.
We now have two playgroups that meet on Wednesdays! Van is getting better at tummy time because he likes watching the other babies. It's so fun to watch all the other babies grow!

Aunt Candace and Uncle Clay came over for dinner last week and were amazed at how much Van had grown since the last time they had seen him. Uncle Jereme even stopped by one night after work to get some Van love.

It has been really cold in Charlotte and we are all ready for spring to get here. We got more snow last night!!! We try to take Van out for a walk when we can. He doesn't seem to mind the cold weather. We've even taken him out to a couple of restaurants and he's been so good. He usually just sits in the corner and sleeps in his car seat.

Speaking of sleep, Van can fall asleep most anywhere and falls asleep in the funniest positions!

Isn't it amazing how fast time flies when you are having that much fun??? It seems like just yesterday he was still in your belly!!!! He is growing in to such a handsome little guy. He looks just like the both of you. I hope I get to meet him someday soon!!!
