Rory's Baptism

The weekend before last was very special to our family. Our precious daughter was baptized in our church and we were surrounded by our closest friends and family.

The weekend started when my best friend from college and Rory's Godmother, Erin, flew into Charlotte on Friday. When I asked Erin what she would like to do Friday evening she said she would be happy with hanging out with the kiddos and having pizza. So that is exactly what we did! I can't tell you how much our visits have changed!

Then Saturday was a busy day. We went wedding dress shopping for Erin. It was a lovely girls day with lunch at Luna's Living Kitchen and ended with a mani/pedi at my favorite spot.

Rory grinned so big every time Erin came out in a new dress.

Sunday morning was the big day. I did not know when we set the date for Rory's baptism that it would be the day of the Spring time change! Springing forward an hour was interesting. But our sweet family and greatest friends still made it despite the early hour! We are truly blessed by family and friends who share in these special moments with us.

Rory was baptized with her friend V.

Right after the service

Van's smile is cracking me up. He kept lunging towards the camera with that face!

Thank you so much to everyone who came to celebrate Rory's baptism with us. And the biggest thanks to Mama Utsey, Mom and Dalcher for preparing all the delicious  food. Without each of you the day would not have gone as smoothly. We love you all so very much.

xoxo
