We hope that everyone had a glorious Easter weekend! We spent ours with wonderful friends, neighbors and family. It was kind of a whirlwind weekend with lots of Easter Egg Hunts and teaching Van about what Jesus did for us.
Saturday morning, while daddy was training for Mt. Mitchell, Van and I headed to the park with several of our neighbors for an Easter Egg Hunt put together by a local church. It was an awesome event with coffee and bagels from Brueggar's, hundreds of people, thousands of Easter Eggs and a simple teaching about Jesus' love for the children. A wonderful start to the weekend!

Later that afternoon we enjoyed some playtime in the backyard. While Van played on his almost finished swingset, Baxter and I decided to sun ourselves! Then it was off to MB's third birthday party where Van had another Egg Hunt (he did much better this time), the Easter Bunny paid a visit (Van hid behind daddy) and Van learned to love the swing.
Easter morning Van discovered what the Easter bunny had left him. He thoroughly enjoyed the chocolates and even shared some with mommy and daddy!

After watching church on TV we headed to Nana & Papa's house on the lake for lunch. Lots of quality family time, an Easter Egg hunt, boat ride and good old fashioned play. Needless to say, after all the excitement Van fell asleep on the way home and slept until after 7 am (which is late for us!)
